It’s that time of year again when the coats and scarf’s and woolly hats are firmly in place, to watch the end of season Flame & Thunder spectacular at Santa Pod Raceway.

We’ve got so much going on you won’t want to miss a thing! This year will be a Jet- fuelled event with no less than four Jet Cars, the Jet Quad, Jet Trucks and the Jet Trike all lighting up the skies like fire flies for some heart thumping action.

To add to this we’ll also have some invitational drag racing, with Top Fuel Dragsters, Funny Cars and a whole host of other vehicles preparing to take your breath away. With displays from the Monster Trucks, Stunt drivers, Aerobatic displays and Europe’s best motocross riders, you’ll be spoilt for choice!

There’s plenty to do and see with all the fast and furious track action as well as off track activities taking place. Kids have their own dedicated Kids area with entertainers, face painting, juggling and loads more besides….there’s never a dull moment at the Flame & Thunder show.

This event is definitely one for the kids, and the best thing is, they get in for FREE!

We hope to see you next weekend, (1st - 3rd September) at Herts County Showground for VW Action, Europe's longest established VW Show. We believe it's fair to say that VW Action is the best show in the country to represent the VW enthusiast community to the wider 'public'. Not just VW events, but the whole subculture depends on new blood, so how about you bring a friend? At Action, you can tell them to expect the most friendly and enthusiastic bunch of visitors of any show, anywhere. They will find friendly gate staff and marshalls, clean toilets (inc. facilities for the disabled) and plenty of parking or camping space in a lovely setting.

The site has good road links (literally yards from Junction 9 of the M1). The venue has great showers, a quiet family camping area, and constant security and litter patrols for your safety and convenience.

There are also the one off displays of the current styles such as the 'Hoodride' fraternity, complete with a guest of honour from the USA and radical rides from mainland Europe, Split Screen Van and Bay Window Bus displays, a RestoWagen display and two days of Show and Shine contests including trophies for everything from daily drivers to full-on customs.

We believe that we are the best for great family entertainment too, (and you don't necessarily need to be a VW enthusiast to be a fan of Freak-1-C or the legendary Jensen D. Groover or indeed the all-night movies we'll be showing for those who can't sleep). For the kids amusement, VW Action has 'Childrens VWorld' complete with facepainter, sandpit, colouring competition, toys, videos, bouncy castle, and Playstation, all at no extra cost to you.

If you do bring a friend make sure that they check out the Swapmeet/Autojumble, (usually busy at Action as it is free to sellers) as well as the Cars for Sale area and the Trade Stands. They might be mildly amused by the Action Inter-Club Olympics, or pick up a bargain at the VW Action Charity Auction.

There are a host of other reasons why we want you to come and introduce a friend to the scene, but none more important than MONEY.

Yes it would be good for VW Action if more money comes in to the show each year. Most of you know and understand that the more money the show takes, the more we can put IN to the show the following year. But this pales into insignificance compared to the money each new 'convert' will spend WITHIN the subculture as a whole over a lifetime of being a VW Enthusiast, and THAT is the 'bigger picture' - longevity for the WHOLE SCENE!

Come to Action, bring a friend, let us help make them a convert. It'll be a blast!

A great Car Show for all the family

It’s the second year of our AMERICAN CUSTOM AND BRITISH CLASSIC CAR SHOW held in conjunction with Carolina Classics. The event is on Sunday 3rd September from 10am - 4pm at Thruxton Circuit just outside Andover in Hampshire

Its shaping up to be a great day out for all the family. We’ll have a show of some fantastic American and British cars! There will be Live Music all day played by some top rated local bands. We’ve got a Hog Roast, Beer Tent, Fun things for the kids, and lots more for all the family.

The New Forest Harley Davidson club are roaring up together at around 11.30am and will be showing their bikes through to 3pm.
